TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. COMPANY OVERVIEW
Melbourne West Laundry Services Pty Ltd (“MWLS”) is a commercial laundry and linen service provider based in Melbourne, Victoria.
MWLS specialises in providing laundry and linen solutions for:
- Hotels
- Motels
- Serviced Apartments
- Airbnb Properties
- Healthcare Facilities
- Aged Care Facilities
- Restaurants & Hospitality Venues
- Commercial Businesses
Services include commercial laundry processing, linen hire, towel services, ironing, pickup and delivery services, and account-based billing for approved customers.
2. SERVICES PROVIDED
2.1 Laundry Services
Laundry services may be charged:
- Per kilogram (kg)
- Per item
- Per room
- Under an agreed commercial contract
MWLS uses commercial-grade equipment, detergents, disinfectants and chemicals to provide professional laundering services.
While reasonable care is taken during processing, MWLS cannot guarantee removal of all stains and accepts no responsibility for:
- Pre-existing damage
- Fabric deterioration
- Weak or aged materials
- Colour fading
- Shrinkage within industry standards
- Incorrect care labels
- Manufacturer defects
2.2 Linen Hire Services
Where linen hire services are provided:
- All linen remains the property of MWLS.
- Customers are responsible for reasonable care of hired linen.
- Lost, stolen, damaged or excessively stained items may be charged at replacement cost.
- MWLS may recommend maintaining multiple linen sets to ensure uninterrupted service.
2.3 Collection & Delivery
MWLS provides scheduled collection and delivery services throughout Melbourne and surrounding regions.
Services may be:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Bi-weekly
- Custom scheduled
Collection and delivery times are estimates only.
MWLS shall not be liable for delays resulting from:
- Traffic conditions
- Vehicle breakdowns
- Extreme weather
- Public holidays
- Circumstances beyond reasonable control
Laundry must be ready and accessible at the agreed collection location.
Failed collections may incur additional charges.
Urgent, same-day or after-hours services may attract additional fees.
3. PRICING & PAYMENT
3.1 Pricing
Unless otherwise stated:
- All prices are exclusive of GST.
- Pricing may be reviewed periodically due to increases in labour, utilities, fuel, chemicals, linen replacement costs, or other operating expenses.
- MWLS reserves the right to adjust pricing with reasonable notice.
3.2 Payment Terms
Approved account customers may receive:
- 7 Day Terms
- 14 Day Terms
- 30 Day Terms
Invoices are issued electronically unless otherwise agreed.
Late payments may result in:
- Service suspension
- Collection costs
- Additional administration fees
MWLS reserves the right to require prepayment for customers with overdue accounts.
4. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate business and contact information.
- Ensure laundry is properly bagged and prepared for collection.
- Notify MWLS of any special handling requirements.
- Notify MWLS of contaminated or hazardous items prior to collection.
- Report service concerns promptly.
Customers must remove:
- Cash
- Keys
- Jewellery
- Mobile phones
- Valuables
before submitting laundry.
MWLS accepts no responsibility for personal items left in linen or garments.
5. CONTAMINATED LINEN
Customers must notify MWLS prior to collection if linen contains:
- Blood
- Bodily fluids
- Medical waste
- Sharps
- Chemicals
- Hazardous substances
MWLS reserves the right to refuse unsafe goods or apply additional handling charges.
6. LOSS, DAMAGE & LIABILITY
MWLS exercises reasonable care in handling customer goods.
However, MWLS shall not be responsible for:
- Normal wear and tear
- Fabric deterioration
- Colour bleeding
- Existing damage
- Manufacturer defects
- Force majeure events
Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
Where MWLS accepts responsibility, compensation shall be limited to:
- Repair of the item; or
- Replacement value of the item; or
- Service credit at MWLS’s discretion.
Under no circumstances shall MWLS be liable for indirect or consequential losses.
7. CANCELLATIONS & SERVICE CHANGES
Customers may request service changes with reasonable notice.
Long-term service agreements may require:
- 30 days written notice
- Settlement of outstanding invoices
Where linen hire agreements apply, early termination charges may apply.
All MWLS linen must be returned upon termination of service.
8. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION
MWLS respects your privacy and complies with applicable Australian privacy legislation.
Information collected may include:
- Business name
- Contact information
- Email addresses
- Service locations
- Billing information
- Website usage information
Information is collected solely for:
- Service delivery
- Customer support
- Account management
- Billing and collections
- Business communications
MWLS does not sell customer information to third parties.
Information may be shared only where required to:
- Deliver services
- Process payments
- Meet legal obligations
9. WEBSITE & COOKIES
The MWLS website may use cookies and analytics tools to improve user experience and website functionality.
Information collected may include:

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, branding, logos, images, documents, and materials displayed on the MWLS website remain the property of Melbourne West Laundry Services Pty Ltd. No material may be copied, reproduced, distributed or used without prior written consent.
11. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
If a dispute arises, both parties agree to:
- Notify the other party in writing.
- Attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith.
- Allow 14 days for resolution before commencing formal legal action.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Victorian courts.
